Cream of Chicken Soup Substitute

Cream of Chicken Soup Substitution is a quick recipe that can be used in place of a can of cream of chicken soup! I love that this lets me still create those comforting, old school recipes but use the quality ingredients that I prefer to cook with. This recipe is so quick and easy!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 1/2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup of chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup of whole milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of curry powder

Instructions
 

  • Whisk broth with the flour and spices until smooth in a small bowl. Set aside.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Stir in milk and mix together.
  • Slowly whisk in flour mixture. Keep stirring to prevent lumps. Let sauce come to a slow bubble and thicken, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Use in place of can of cream of chicken soup in casserole recipes!
